From time-to-time, we may change the gelato flavors in the Signature Packs. We will update members when these flavors change! 

New orders must be placed by the MONTHLY DEADLINE in order to pick up or have delivered for that month. Check out the Monthly Deadline section below for more details.

DO I NEED TO DO ANYTHING FOR UPCOMING ORDERS?

Nope! After your first order, the rest is easy! All you have to do is show up on the 3rd weekend of every month at your selected pick-up location (or be home for your selected delivery time).

You will pick a Pint Pack Flavor Collection  -- Featured, Signature, or Dairy-Free -- and a Pick-Up Location or Delivery Option during the initial checkout. As long as you don't want to make changes (i.e. swap flavors, skip a pick-up, switch locations), no need to do anything other than be ready to enjoy some gelato every 3rd weekend of the month! Your card on file will be billed on the 5th of every month after your initial purchase. If you do need to make changes, email pintclub@blackdogchicago.com before the 5th for assistance. 

MONTHLY DEADLINE

New orders MUST BE PLACED BY THE MONTHLY DEADLINE IN ORDER TO HAVE PICK UP OR HAVE DELIVERED THAT SAME MONTH. 

Orders placed after the monthly deadline will be available the following month with that month's flavors, so keep that in mind when deciding on a pint pack. 

For those who have already purchase a Monthly Membership or Gift Subscription, the monthly deadline is applicable to the first month only. All future orders will be available on the 3rd weekend of every month.

Delivery is an additional $10 per month to be added at check-out for Chicagoland; Delivery is an additional $15 per month to be added at check-out for the suburbs!

    • GOAT CHEESE CASHEW CARAMEL - Sweet, tangy, and a touch of salty, similar to a cheesecake profile. Our most popular flavor and the first flavor created under the Black Dog brand!

    • CHOCOLATE - Gelato made with real, unsweetened chocolate and a touch of coffee paste and honey. Not as dark as other chocolate ice cream, but so rich in taste! A classic flavor!

    • MINT COOKIE - Gelato generously layered with Oreo cookies and flavored with a natural peppermint oil from an Indiana spice company. A Jessie favorite.

    From time to time, we may change the line-up of the Signature Flavors Pint Pack to other classic flavors! 

    DAIRY-FREE FLAVORS PINT PACK FOR OCTOBER: 

    • COCONUT ALMOND CHIP - Sweet and nutty coconut with toasted sweetened coconut flakes, toasted almonds, and chocolate flakes. 
        • Allergens: Tree nuts, Coconut
    • POMEGRANATE SORBET - Tart and sweet, a simple and bold flavor.  
        • Allergens: No known common allergens
    • CHOCOLATE SORBET - Rich and fudgy, this dairy free version is like a fudgsicle that isn't missing the dairy one bit.

          • When Can Pints be Picked Up?

            Pints can be picked up in-store on the 3rd weekend of every month on the days and times listed below. You can select which location you’d like to pick up from during check-out. We also offer a local delivery option (within delivery zone) for an additional $10!

            You will receive an email reminder a few days prior to the end of the previous month with the next month’s flavors (for the “Featured” Pint Pack Option) and another reminder prior to the first day of pick-up or delivery.

          • Will You Have Other Items Available For Purchase In Shop On Pick-Up Days?

            Yes! As one of the perks of being a Pint Club Member, additional pints and other goodies will be available for sale in our shops during pint pick-up weekends! Keep an eye out for special announcements as Pint Club Members will receive special access to limited menus as well as discounts on all in-shop purchases!

          • Do You Offer Delivery?

            Yes! We offer a local delivery option within a delivery zone for an additional $10! AND, starting in 2021, we are expanding our delivery area to the suburbs for an additional $15! To check if you are in the delivery area, enter your zip code in the "Do We Deliver?" hover bar at the top of the page, enter your zip code, and press "Go" to confirm. If you are in the delivery area, you can select this option during check-out. Deliveries will be done on the 3rd weekend of every month with slightly different days and times, listed below:

          • When is My Credit Card Charged?

            After your initial purchase which will be charged on the date or purchase, your credit card will be charged the fifth of every month*.

            *Please note: this ongoing charge is only relevant to Pint Club Members who have purchased a Monthly Membership.

          • Monthly Ordering Deadline: When Is The Last Day I Can Sign Up For Pint Club or Purchase a Pint Pack Each Month?

            Orders must be placed by the following dates to pick up or have delivered within the same month. Monthly deadlines are listed below.

          • Monthly Ordering Deadline: What Happens if I Miss the Ordering Deadline? What Flavors Will I Receive in the Box?

            If you miss the monthly ordering deadline, your pint pack will be available for pick-up or delivery on the following month with that month’s flavors. For example, if the monthly deadline is September 10th, orders placed on September 11th and on will be available for pick-up or delivery in October instead. If you would like the rotating FEATURED FLAVORS Pint Pack option, you will receive the featured flavors available during the month of pick-up/delivery, not the flavor menu for the month of order.

          • What are the Flavor Offerings?

            We currently offer three (3) Pint Pack options that include the following gelato flavors:

            SIGNATURE FLAVORS - Our best sellers! Goat Cheese Cashew Caramel, Mint Cookie, and Classic Chocolate!

            FEATURED FLAVORS - A rotating monthly menu of Jessie's special creations, including seasonal flavors, special limited edition collaborations, and fan favorites. Monthly menu will be posted on the FLAVORS page.

            DAIRY-FREE FLAVORS - Three of the most popular dairy-free flavors are included in this pack! We usually rotate these on a monthly basis. Check out the FLAVORS page for current offerings!

          • Can I Have Other Flavors or Customize my Box?

            Unfortunately, no. We cannot yet accommodate custom orders or change pint flavors within each Flavor Collection!  Members who have purchased the Monthly Membership have the option to swap between the Pint Pack Flavor Collections as long as the change is completed prior to the monthly ordering deadline (see FAQs on monthly ordering deadline for exact cut-off each month), but we cannot swap individual flavors within the Pint Packs!  Monthly Members can swap Pint Pack flavor options by emailing pintclub@blackdogchicago.com or submitting a request through their member portal (after the first 3 months of membership). The swap option is not available for 3 or 6-Month Pint Pack Gift Subscriptions. 

          • Do You Have a Dairy-Free Option?

            Yes! Dairy-Free Pint Packs are available for the Pint Club Membership as well as single box purchases! Our current flavor offerings are listed in the FLAVORS page, but we may change those in the future!


          • Can I Swap Flavors or Modify My Membership?

            If you are a Pint Club Member (i.e. you have purchased a Monthly Membership), you have the option to swap amongst the Pint Packs flavor options.. We recommend submitting your monthly swap by no later than the 5th of the month to have it fulfilled on that same month. The final monthly swap cut-off date is the same as the monthly ordering deadline, listed in the “Monthly Ordering Deadline,” section. Any swaps submitted after this deadline will not be fulfilled (original flavor pack selection will be included). Monthly Members can swap Pint Pack flavor options by emailing pintclub@blackdogchicago.com or submitting a request through their member portal (after the first 3 months of membership).  This is a perk specifically for Pint Club Monthly Members only; unfortunately, at this time, swapping flavor packs is not an option for the 3 and 6 Month Gift Subscriptions. 

          • Do You Offer Shipping?

            At this time, we do not. However, we hope to in the future! If this is something you are interested in, please let us know by signing up for our newsletter, or sending an email to pintclub@blackdogchicago.com !

          • Do You Have Pick-Up Locations Outside of Your Current Shop Locations?

            Yes! We will have rotating pop-up locations in the Rogers Park neighborhood on the Far North Side. Please select the “Roger’s Park Pop-Up” location for pick-up option at checkout. Monthly emails will announce where the pink bus will be located for pick-up.

          • What If Myself Or The Recipient Is Out Of Town The Weekend Of Pick-up Or Delivery?

            If you are a Pint Club Member, or have received a 3 or 6 Month Gift Subscription, you can elect to skip a delivery for the month where you are unable to make the pick-up in your member portal. Be sure to do this before the monthly deadline! 

            If you’d rather not skip a month, contact us at pintclub@blackdogchicago.com to let us know you’re unavailable on the designated pick-up/delivery weekend. We will work with you to schedule a pick-up date and time, but do ask that you give us at least 7 days’ notice prior. Due to staffing limitations, pick-ups outside of the designated weekend will need to be picked up from our West Loop Location at 1012 W. Lake St; deliveries will be handled on an individual basis.  


          • How Do I Send Pint Club Membership or Pint Packs as a Gift?

            In order to send as a gift, please go to the Gift Collections Page on the Shopify site.

            As of now, there is no way to include separate email addresses on the purchase for the purchaser and the gift recipient. As such, we recommend the following method to complete the purchase for the gift recipient: 

            Use YOUR email address to complete the checkout process. 

            If you are purchasing a membership for the recipient, you will need to create a Black Dog Shopify login, or login to your account to complete the purchase. 

            If STORE PICKUP is selected, enter the RECIPIENT’S NAME & PHONE NUMBER ONLY under PICK-UP ADDRESS (store pick-up address information will automatically populate if this method is selected). Enter your information for billing. 

            If DELIVERY is selected, enter the RECIPIENT'S NAME, ADDRESS, & PHONE NUMBER under DELIVERY ADDRESS.  Enter your information for billing. 

            In addition to the purchase confirmation, we will follow-up with some instructions from pintclub@blackdogchicago.com to provide the recipient with an e-gift message. If you have not received a follow-up email within 24 hours of purchase, please send an email to pintclub@blackdogchicago.com to request instructions. 

            If purchasing a 3 or 6 Month Pint Pack Gift Subscription for the recipient, we also recommend switching over the account to their email address. Instructions will be provided to switch the email address (with the recipient’s permission) and an updated password reset link will be sent. 

          • Can I Change My Pick-Up Preference to Delivery After Purchase?

            Yes, if you are unable to pick up in store and would like to schedule a delivery, please contact us at pintclub@blackdogchicago.com at least 7 days prior to the scheduled pick-up days.  Please note, a $10 delivery charge will be assessed (or $15 for limited suburb delivery)!

          • How Do I Cancel?

            As a Pint Club Member, you receive additional perks outside of monthly gelato that are rolled into the pricing. However, we understand that circumstances may arise that require you to cancel. In order to cover some of our initial costs, as well as provide a no-hassle approach to cancellation for members, we do require a minimum of 3 months of membership before cancellation

            After the 3-month minimum, you can cancel at anytime through your member portal, as long as the cancellation request occurs prior to the monthly billing on the 5th. If the request to cancel occurs after the 5th, but before the monthly pick-up or delivery for that month, please reach out to pintclub@blackdogchicago.com for your options. Cancellation requests after the 5th of the month are not guaranteed, but we will do our best to work with every member to accommodate or refund the payment, if possible.
